Late last year the local management team hosted Global Head of Individual Personal Insurance Maureen Hackett and Global Head of Pricing & Portfolio Management – IPI George Argesanu, along with the entire Project Turbo team to celebrate a fantastic achievement. The team was treated to a Sydney Harbour Bridge climb experience followed by dinner under the famous Australian landmark.

Mass market Personal Lines launches in Australia

Last year AIG Australia celebrated its 60th anniversary, with a history focused primarily on corporate and commercial insurance. 2017 also represented an important milestone in the future growth of the Australian operations, with the launch of mass market Personal Lines business. This move enables AIG to participate in the US$14b Personal Insurance segment which is one of the largest segments in the Australian general insurance market.

Over the last few years a dedicated team of 40 AIG professionals across six locations worked with distribution partner Steadfast (the largest broker network in Australia) on the launch of AIG’s Home, Landlord and Motor products. Dubbed Project Turbo, the business developed new technology that is fully integrated across both Steadfast and AIG; allowing end-to-end business processing and seamless transfer of customer data.
